Planning the hurt…

Owner & Coach

Ben Oliver

A former collegiate soccer player and Olympic weightlifter.  He placed 5th in the nation in his weight class at Olympic Weightlifting Collegiate Nationals. He started CrossFit in 2004 and has earned both his CrossFit Level I and II certifications. Ben currently is a member of the CrossFit Football certification staff, as he orders an Americano like nobody I know, as well as an intern for CrossFit HQ certification staff. Ben has been an athlete his entire life, has a passion for motivating individuals do to things once thought impossible. It is with this vigor that he entices his athletes to break into random dance during the workouts. He pushes them to surpass Michael Jackson’s onstage agility. He is preparing for the 2019 season of, “So You Think You Can Dance?”.

Chris Sprague

Chris Sprague grew up playing football, soccer and track and field.  He went on to play two seasons of football at Pasadena City College, and then earned a full-ride scholarship for football at Duke University. Upon graduation, Chris pursued a career punting and kicking in the NFL. After injuries sidelined Chris, he started to focus more on health and fitness, and to help others avoid the same hurdles.
Chris started his personal training career with athletes of all ages, but then transitioned from sports performance to a more rehabilitative focus for clients both pre, and post surgery. His main focus is to train clients who are wanting to achieve better posture, movement and strength. When Chris tried his first Crossfit wod however, (Cindy), he was hooked.
Chris is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He also holds CrossFit Level One and CrossFit Sport Specific  certificates.

Donny Gallegos

Born and raised in Colorado. Moved beach side in June of 2016. I have been coaching CrossFit since 2012 and began my coaching career in 2009 when I coached a Freshman High School Lacrosse team in Wheat Ridge Colorado. I did the Corporate Desk Jockey “thing” from 2008 – 2014. Left my job working for my Dads mortgage company to Coach full time. I loved coaching and I had an opportunity to do it full time, so I took it. Pops was pissed, but 24 hours later, he was pumped. Been coaching ever since and loving every minute of it. I love being on my feet and moving and live for the moment when I make a small change in an athletes movement and it changes everything!
Favorite Food – Chocolate Chip Cookies and my Mom’s Spaghetti.
Favorite Lift – I hate this question.
